Full board in winter quarters
In the cold and snowy months, the deers do not find enough food at higher altitudes and make their way to shallower areas. This typically red deer hikes over many kilometers are often no longer possible, the dense settlement by humans is in the way.
In order to prevent animals from starving in the winter or causing great damage to the important mountain forests by means of biting, some forest enterprises of the Bavarian State Forests set up special winter areas.
You can see them all: mighty deer, young calves and seasoned adults and of course young male deer.
