Lake Eibsee

The Eibsee is considered one of the most beautiful lakes in Upper Bavaria, and not without good reason. A walk around the lake will take you about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. You will find bathing spots all around the Eibsee. The Eibsee-Hotel as well as the associated lake restaurant and kiosk are located directly on the shore. The Zugspitzbahn railway station and the station of the new cable car Zugspitze are just a little above.

In the summer months the average water temperature is about 20°C. There is a large parking lot directly on the lake which is subject to a fee.
